These excesses and deficiencies are brought back into balance through the Five modalities of Chinese Medicine. These modalities combined with lifestyle management are acupuncture, acupressure, herbology, nutrition, and Qigong (exercises/ meditation/ healing modality). These modalities are used to balance the yin and yang and regulate the flow of the Qi for optimum vitality.

The World Health Organization, the medical branch of the United Nations, recognizes acupuncture as an effective medical treatment and has issued a provisional list of 41 diseases amenable to acupuncture treatment.

These include respiratory ailments, pain and chronic pain conditions, PMS and other gynecological disorders, gastrointestinal disorders and many other health problems. In 1997 the National Institute of Health concluded that acupuncture successfully treats muscular and skeletal disorders, helps with drug addiction and weight loss and cures some illnesses, such as asthma, migraines and Bell's palsy. Acupuncture needles are known to release our body's own natural opiates called "endorphins" while stimulating neurological, immunological and endocrine responses for homeostasis.

Chinese medicine for whole body and facial rejuvenation combines the use of all of the modalities of Chinese medicine. It has been used for thousands of years to enhance vitality and beauty. It is just now becoming popular in America as a complementary facial treatment. Film stars, models, socialites, corporate executives, like the royalty of ancient China, are discovering this ancient way to regain vitality, health and youthfulness. The biggest secret discovered and cherished by my patients is the resolution of the underlying disorders of their body through the simultaneous rejuvenation of their face!
